A Visual Journal

is...

  • your ticket to understanding science/social studies.
  • a place where you can write, draw and stretch your thinking and make sense of the content you have learned.
  • a place you can examine, express, and keep track of your reasoning and thinking. This will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses. It will also help you assess your progress and set goals for your learning.
  • It is a place you can discuss connections you have made to other subjects, your life, or events happening in the world.

Please ensure that you update your visual journal on a daily basis.

As well, please review your rubric located on the inside cover of your journal. Remember to explain your thinking thoroughly and include visuals and linking words. Be creative and have fun!
